Sorry about the sideways photo!
Liulaoshi reports:
The trip to Beijing was great. Had a bit delay leaving Newark, but Beijing end was perfect! Students had between 2-6 hours of sleep on the plane. You could tell by dinner time there were quite a few sleepy eyes. The Dragon Trip agency did a good job meeting us at the airport, providing orientation & safety reminders.... Students even had bananas and chocolate for a treat, and that made the bus ride even better:-)
We had a traditional Peking duck dinner at an authentic local restaurant. Even went out for a short walk after the dinner. The hotel we're staying at has quite a central location. We have free WiFi at the hotel and I have been communicating with parents who are on our WeChat group as well.
Everyone is doing a great job so far- helping out one and another, being punctual... The study hall schedule will start off tonight.
The weather is nice, and the air quality is good. No pollution there a few days while we're here.
In a couple of days we will start the daily blog from students. Keep watching.....
